Sept. 26th seminar with speaker
We are bringing in Martin young for our association speaker this year with tips on customer care for your CSRs.
Martin has a long background in Drycleaning & Laundry. His presentation will be a winning formula for your business.Martin is a past president of NCALC and is respected for his passion for the cleaning industry by both cleaners and the regulatory community. He speaks regularly on topics ranging from customer service and management to hiring and retaining employees. When not on the road meeting with regulators or other cleaners, he can be found in the cleaning department of his plant trying to exceed his customers expectations.
Our meeting will be at the Double Tree hotel (formally the La Fiesta) at 2100 S. Priest, Tempe, AZ 480-967-1441. The bar is open at 6pm in the meeting room-Encantada just off the lobby near the pool. The general meeting and presentation begins at 7PM in the same room. Attendance fee is $35 for members and $45 for non members. Those wishing to join that evening as full time members will receive credit for meeting fee towards the price of membership to DLI/WWSDLA.
Western States Drycleaners & Launderers Association (WSDLA) is a non profit organization of drycleaners, launderers, Laundromat owners and service companies/allied trades in the states of Arizona and Nevada. We began operations in Phoenix, Arizona in 1983 under the name of Arizona Drycleaners & Launderers Association (ADLA) with John Young as our Executive Director and David Cooper as our President. In 1993 we merged with the state of Nevada to become the Western States Drycleaners & Launderers Association as an affiliate with the Drycleaners & Launderers Institute
(DLI), then known as IFI.
We have grown to 124 members in 2005 but the economy has reduced membership to 78. Our Executive Director is Kenney Slatten

as President 2011-2013. Board members are listed on this website as well as a history of our association with a picture of the original board of directors. Board meetings are held four times a year and are open to all members. Our mission is to serve the operators in our industry as members, lobbying efforts, educational classes and membership meetings once a year, membership benefits from both WSDLA and DLI. A membership application andfeeschedule are available on this website. Dues cover membership in both DLI and WSDLA and the magazine from DLI and WSDLA goes to all members as well as all the membership benefits from DLI.
Our Field Repsare veterans of this industry and are out there to serve the industry by visitation. Our office is combined with the Kenney Slatten Training office in Prescott, Arizona and Amarillo, Texas. We areopen from8AM to 12PMMST Monday thru Saturday. Our newsletter is edited by Kenney Slatten and Kimberly Waltona and is mailed tomost drycleaners and launderers in Arizona and Nevada six times a year.
