Welcome to Western States Drycleaning & Launderers Association

Western States Drycleaners & Launderers Association (WSDLA) is a non profit organization of drycleaners, launderers, Laundromat owners and service companies/allied trades in the states of Arizona and Nevada. We began operations in Phoenix, Arizona in 1983 under the name of Arizona Drycleaners & Launderers Association (ADLA) with John Young as our Executive Director and David Cooper as our President. In 1993 we merged with the state of Nevada to become the Western States Drycleaners & Launderers Association as an affiliate with the Drycleaners & Launderers Institute (DLI), then known as IFI.

We have grown to 124 members in 2005 but the economy has reduced membership to 78. Our Executive Director is Kenney Slatten with Rich Walton of Maroney's Cleaners  as President 2011-2012. Board members are listed on this website as well as a history of our association with a picture of the original board of directors. Board meetings are held four times a year and are open to all members. Our mission is to serve the operators in our industry as members, lobbying efforts, educational classes and membership meetings once a year, membership benefits from both WSDLA and DLI. A membership application and fee schedule are available on this website. Dues cover membership in both DLI and WSDLA and the magazine from DLI and WSDLA goes to all members as well as all the membership benefits from DLI.

Our Field Reps are veterans of this industry and are out there to serve the industry by visitation. Our office is combined with the Kenney Slatten Training  office in Prescott, Arizona and Amarillo, Texas. We are open from 8AM to 12PM Monday thru Saturday. Our newsletter is edited by Jennifer Slatten and is mailed to most drycleaners and launderers in Arizona and Nevada six times a year. Any notices you want published can be done for free by contacting the office.
